Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Install/maintain stormwater systems and drainage infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections of public works sites
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications
- Maintain accurate project documentation and time logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and construction plans
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
