Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including street repairs, drainage maintenance, and park upkeep
- Operate light equipment (saws, jackhammers, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency response during natural disasters and public works emergencies
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work zones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Complete daily work orders and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Participate in seasonal storm preparation and debris removal operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to work in all weather conditions
