Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and moving materials for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely (e.g., jackhammers, power saws)
- Assist in road repairs, drainage maintenance, and park upkeep
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards promptly
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works preferred
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends during emergencies
