Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, tampers) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain work areas by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Collaborate with crew members to project timelines and quality standards
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards (OSHA 10 certification preferred)
- Experience with hand/power tools and light machinery operation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends as needed
