Responsibilities
- Perform general construction and maintenance labor including digging, paving, and cleaning streets.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, rollers, and skid steers.
- Assist in storm water drainage maintenance, repair, and cleaning of catch basins.
- Perform snow and ice removal operations during winter weather events.
- Set up and maintain traffic control zones, including flagging duties.
- Ensure all work areas comply with OSHA safety standards and City regulations.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safety protocols.
- Must be a resident of the Memphis, TN area.
