Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery including jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers
- Assist in traffic control and work zone setup for public safety
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues to supervisors
- Load/unload materials and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and light machinery preferred
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and work zone safety
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and flexible schedules
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Valid OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification a plus
