Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure projects including road maintenance, drainage systems, and park facilities
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) under supervision
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction and repair tasks
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Maintain safe work zones and adhere to OSHA protocols
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and site cleanup
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends for emergencies
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or municipal services preferred
- Texas Class B CDL or willingness to obtain within 6 months
