Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks, including excavation, grading, and backfilling according to project blueprints.
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist in traffic control duties, including flagging and signage placement to ensure worker and public safety.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and debris from delivery trucks and job sites.
- Perform routine site cleanup, including removal of trash, vegetation, and hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with crew leads and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License required.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
