Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including street repairs, park maintenance, and waste collection
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, forklifts, etc.) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Support emergency response during weather events or public works crises
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily project objectives
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid Tennessee driver's license required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends
