Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, debris removal, and landscape maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, pressure washers) under supervision
- Assist in repairing public facilities, parks, and drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate work logs and inventory of materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool operation skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
- Preferred: 1+ years of construction/maintenance experience
