Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light/heavy machinery (sweepers, dump trucks, jackhammers)Perform landscape maintenance in public parks and rights-of-way
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Complete daily work logs and incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints and work orders
