Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during storms and weather events
- Assist in park maintenance and green space beautification projects
- Follow all OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Virginia Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of public works or construction experience
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
