Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators and backhoes under supervision
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system repairs
- Conduct site cleanup and debris removal after weather events
- Support construction projects including material handling and equipment setup
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Document work progress and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Driver's License with clean record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Strong work ethic and punctuality required
