Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely
- Inspect and maintain public facilities (sidewalks, drains, traffic signals)
- Adhere to strict OSHA and Cal/OSHA safety protocols
- Assist in emergency response during natural disasters
- Maintain detailed work logs and complete daily reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Certification in CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment
