Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and drainage system maintenance
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors under supervision
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, and public facility maintenance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment usage, and work progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule including nights/weekends
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship
