Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate light and heavy equipment, including sweepers, pavers, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Street Maintenance: Perform detailed street sweeping, crack sealing, and pavement marking to ensure road safety.
- Drainage & Infrastructure: Assist in cleaning storm drains, maintaining curbs, and repairing guardrails and signage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Maintenance Duties: Perform general labor tasks such as loading/unloading materials, painting, and basic equipment maintenance.
- Traffic Control: Set up and monitor traffic control devices to ensure the safety of workers and the public.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Nevada Class C Driver's License required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school experience is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal maintenance is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of heavy machinery or willingness to learn.
- Background: Must pass a post-offer medical examination and drug screening.
