Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and material handling for public works projects
- Operate basic hand tools and light machinery (e.g., shovels, saws, compactors) under supervision
- Assist in road repairs, drainage system maintenance, and landscaping projects
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with crew members to meet daily project milestones
- Report equipment issues or safety hazards to supervisors
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions (heat, humidity, uneven terrain)
- Valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends when needed
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
