Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and infrastructure maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders) and hand tools safely
- Assist in road repair, drainage projects, and public facility maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and departmental procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Document daily work activities and equipment usage
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool operation knowledge
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
