Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely
- Maintain public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in construction projects following safety protocols
- Load/unload materials and equipment at job sites
- Report maintenance needs and hazards to supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety standards
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed
- Previous labor/construction experience preferred
