Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, park upkeep, and drainage system management
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) following safety protocols
- Load/unload materials and equipment safely at job sites
- Assist skilled tradespersons with construction and demolition tasks
- Maintain clean and organized work areas per OSHA standards
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience with hand/power tools and construction site procedures
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and work collaboratively
