Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including mowing, trimming, and landscaping public rights-of-way.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as dump trucks, backhoes, and skid steers.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during winter months.
- Perform street maintenance duties such as pothole patching, sweeping, and sign repair.
- Control traffic flow using flags and cones during road work.
- Unload and distribute materials at construction sites.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction or landscaping equipment is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
