Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and parks
- Operate hand/power tools safely (shovels, saws, jackhammers, etc.)
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, loading/unloading materials
- Ensure work areas comply with safety regulations and cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Participate in emergency response operations during extreme weather events
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Santa Ana
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work in a team environment
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
