Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor including paving, patching, and repairing public roads.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools, including jackhammers, compressors, and loaders.
- Assist in snow removal and ice control operations during winter months.
- Collect and transport debris, trash, and recyclables to designated disposal sites.
- Maintain drainage ditches, culverts, and right-of-way areas to prevent flooding.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines on site.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physically capable of performing heavy labor in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work on feet for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction or road maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
