Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscaping for city infrastructure projects
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (e.g., backhoes, graders) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of public facilities and sidewalks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project planning and execution
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and department safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic equipment operation certification preferred
