Responsibilities
- Perform infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage clearing, and sidewalk maintenance
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, power saws, trucks) under supervision Assist in emergency response operations during weather events
- Conduct routine inspections of public works facilities
- Maintain safe work zones and follow OSHA protocols
- Document daily activities and submit progress reports
- Participate in cross-departmental projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (Class C or higher)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Clean pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must be 18+ years old
- Reliable transportation to various city work sites
