Responsibilities
- Perform infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage clearing, and sidewalk maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) under supervision
- Assist in construction projects including grading, excavation, and material handling
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain clean work areas
- Document work activities and report equipment/service issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
