Responsibilities
- Perform infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, sidewalk installations, and drainage system upkeep
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, compactors) under supervision
- Assist in construction projects including traffic control setup and material handling
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Maintain safe work zones following OSHA and city regulations
- Document work activities and complete daily field reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C) required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- No prior experience necessary – training provided!
