Responsibilities
- Perform heavy equipment operation (excavators, backhoes, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Execute road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upgrades
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and municipal standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on emergency response and storm recovery
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on public assets
- Operate hand/power tools for construction and repair tasks
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years construction/public works experience
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with basic hand/power tools and heavy equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime during emergencies
