Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including street repairs, drainage maintenance, and park upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, dump trucks) under proper supervision
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for equipment handling and site conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Participate in regular equipment maintenance and calibration checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends during emergencies
