Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light equipment (dump trucks, compactors, hand tools) safely
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage systems, and park infrastructure
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with crew leads on project timelines and quality standards
- Document work activities and report equipment/service needs
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works labor experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and flagging procedures
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
