Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city parks, roads, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles safely
- Conduct daily inspections of municipal assets and document maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Assist in stormwater management and environmental conservation initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance, construction, or related field
- Certification in equipment operation or hazardous materials handling preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
