Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, backhoes, and mowing machinery
- Respond to emergency service requests within established response times
- Conduct safety inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to all municipal safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in disaster preparedness and recovery initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years maintenance experience
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and landscaping
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Preferred: CDL certification or municipal equipment operation experience
