Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment including street sweepers and asphalt compactors
- Respond to emergency repairs during storms and natural disasters
- Inspect infrastructure for safety compliance and wear
- Coordinate with contractors and city agencies on large-scale projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Participate in community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class C California Driver's License
- 3+ years in public works or construction maintenance
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
