Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city equipment including trucks, mowers, and hand tools for infrastructure upkeep
- Perform daily inspections of public spaces, parks, and transportation corridors
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules on roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Respond to service requests and emergency repairs within SLA timelines
- Adhere to OSHA/TOSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document maintenance activities and submit progress reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years infrastructure maintenance experience
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (backhoes, loaders, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Texas residency required
