Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, parks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and pavement markers
- Inspect public infrastructure for safety hazards and compliance with city codes
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Respond to emergency service calls during inclement weather events
- Train junior staff on proper equipment operation and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years in municipal maintenance
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B)
- Certification in water distribution/wastewater systems preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification required
- Experience with GIS mapping and asset management systems
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
