Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and public drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure damage (snow removal, storm cleanup)
- Conduct daily inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated infrastructure projects
- Maintain detailed work logs and safety compliance documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Pennsylvania Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
