Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on city facilities, parks, and equipment
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and trenchers
- Respond to emergency repairs during weather events or system failures
- Inspect and maintain irrigation systems, streetlights, and traffic signals
- Document maintenance activities and prepare technical reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- Valid Nevada Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software
