Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (street sweepers, loaders, graders)
- Perform snow/ice removal during winter emergencies
- Conduct infrastructure inspections (roads, sidewalks, traffic signals)
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Adhere to OSHA and city safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Minnesota Class B CDL license
- 2+ years equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to work rotating shifts and emergency call-outs
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- MN DOT Flagger certification preferred
