Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment such as dump trucks, asphalt pavers, and jackhammers.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during adverse weather conditions.
- Inspect work sites for safety hazards and ensure strict compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain and clean equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other municipal departments to support large-scale community projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems is a plus.
