Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and traffic control devices.
- Inspect and repair storm drains, catch basins, and sewer lines to prevent flooding.
- Operate heavy machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Respond to citizen inquiries regarding city infrastructure promptly.
- Ensure all work sites comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Class C Driverβs License.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or general maintenance.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
