Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during severe weather events
- Conduct daily inspections of municipal assets and document findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and city protocols
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment maintenance records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona Class C driver's license (CDL preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays during emergency situations
