Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair municipal buildings, parks, and roadways
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, loaders, and excavators
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on city equipment
- Respond to emergency repairs during inclement weather or city-wide events
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
- Document maintenance activities and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Maryland Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Clean background check and drug-free workplace compliance
