Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and asphalt rollers
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
- Conduct regular inspections of public works equipment and facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure maintenance practices
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
