As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping our city moving. You will operate heavy machinery, perform street cleaning, and maintain public facilities. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as dump trucks, pavers, and street sweepers.
- Perform road repair, pothole filling, and pavement preservation tasks.
- Conduct street cleaning and sweeping operations to ensure compliance with city codes.
- Maintain and repair public facilities, including restrooms and park equipment.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather or critical infrastructure needs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and operating heavy machinery.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and machinery operation.
