Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city buildings, roads, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, graders, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and document maintenance activities
- Respond to emergency repairs during extreme weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., forklift, dump truck) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
