Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery (snow plows, graders, mowers) and specialized equipment safely
- Respond to emergency repairs during weather events and public service disruptions
- Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities using digital systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and environmental standards
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and maintenance protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3+ years municipal maintenance experience
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
