Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on city facilities, equipment, and infrastructure systems
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, street sweepers, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct daily safety inspections of work sites and equipment
- Respond to emergency service calls during inclement weather and after-hours
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Missouri Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance, construction, or related field
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and mechanical repair techniques
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to obtain required certifications within 90 days of hire
