Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on municipal equipment and facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
- Conduct routine inspections of parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and maintenance records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years of equipment maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
