Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (snow plows, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance on public facilities and roadways
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow/ice removal, storm damage)
- Conduct safety inspections and implement OSHA-compliant protocols
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for project coordination
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
- Participate in infrastructure improvement projects (paving, drainage, signage)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- CPR/First Aid certification required (or obtain within 30 days)
