Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on municipal vehicles, equipment, and facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency repairs for water lines, traffic signals, and public spaces
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in equipment operation or facility maintenance
- Certification in heavy machinery operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
